Ex-STRAW-ordinary Classroom Valentines!

I can’t believe it’s already Valen­tine’s Day! This sweet hol­i­day def­i­nite­ly snuck up on us this year! Last year, my daugh­ter had a Baked with Love play­date with one of her BFF’s, but this year, she has been sick for sev­er­al days, so not only did we not have time to have a lit­tle par­ty, we tried to keep our class­room Valen­tines super sim­ple. I found these adorable plas­tic heart straws at Par­ty City a few weeks back and thought they would be a cute gift for my daugh­ter’s class­mates. With clip art from Maree Tru­elove, I designed lit­tle tags for the straws and added a lit­tle rib­bon to the heart. I used an indi­vid­ual hole punch for the two holes to fit the straw through the tag, which held per­fect­ly! I was orig­i­nal­ly going to have her sign each Valen­tine her­self {all 50 of them!}, but I gave her a break since she has been ill and try­ing her best to get bet­ter so she can par­take in the hol­i­day fes­tiv­i­ties at her school.

For her teach­ers, she is send­ing them hugs and kiss­es in lit­tle met­al mail­box­es to wish them a Hap­py Valen­tine’s Day!

Oh, and I just had to share these cup­cake top­pers I made for my sweet moth­er-in-law who was select­ed to help plan a Valen­tine’s Day golf tour­na­ment! I had made golf-themed top­pers in the past, but I loved com­bin­ing it with a lov­ing motif! ♥
