Do you and your family celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We don’t usually do anything too big, but we definitely wear the obligatory green to avoid getting pinched and observe the fun holiday with some sweet treats! We, of course, must start out the day with some Lucky Charms cereal, whose marshmallow symbols always makes me think of the various superstitions that are associated with bringing upon fortune. On St. Paddy’s Day, those who are unable to physically kiss the iconic Blarney Stone can substitute the act by finding the next best thing: an Irish person! The contextual saying Kiss Me, I’m Irish is what inspired me to make these shamrock fondant toppers with a sugary smooch!
If you’re looking for a sweet figure to complement your shamrocks, check out this cute little Lucky Leprechaun fondant topper popping out of a pot of gold I made last year!
And when speaking of pots of gold, we can’t forget the requisite rainbow, which I incorporated into this Over the Rainbow design from my book Sweet & Unique Cupcake Toppers!
Check out the Kiss Me, I’m Irish fondant tutorial on the Craftsy blog and have fun spreading the luck of the Irish with all these fun and fortunate cupcake toppers this St. Patrick’s Day!
Merci Beaucoup!
