Never Miss a Post!

Fairytales and Tutus

August 27, 2010 By Lynlee

My daughter recently started taking ballet classes at the most adorable dance school called Fairytales and Tutus. The concept of the classes is ingenious: providing ballet classes with a different story and costumes every week to enchant the children… and the parents! I was so inspired that when the Summer session ended, I made cupcakes to depict all six stories to which they had danced.

Stories: The Jewel Heart, Angelina Ballerina, Raggedy Ann, My Little Pony,
Minnie Mouse’s Rainbow and Dancing in Fairyland

Merci Beaucoup!

These are cute…but definitely shows how times have changed! I’m still fairly young, but *braces self for the next statement* back when I was that age, Minnie would still be present, but along with the other Disney Princesses!

Oh, don’t worry… we have continued this adorable ballet class this Fall and the Disney princess stories have definitely been prevalent! In fact, tomorrow’s class is “The Little Mermaid” — a classic! I guess I will be working on updated designs for this season’s stories! 🙂
